3.5.2.2 Battery Marking.

3.5.2.2.1 Battery identification. Each battery shall have its identification marking. The

markings shall be printed with white, 1/8 inch lettering and shall have the following information:

3.5.2.2.2 Caution label. This label shall have black letters on a yellow background.

The label shall contain the following lettering size and information:

DO NOT USE ACID

ELECTROLYTE

Acid will permanently damage this battery.

Avoid using tools, which have been used on

0.09 +. 030 Inch lettering minimum

acid type storage batteries. Consult technical

manual before servicing.

3.5.2.2.3 Battery polarity marking. The polarity shall be conspicuously and durably

marked on the battery container and adjacent to the terminals. Combine with 3.5.2.10, both

address the same thing.
